China SRRC’s new Modular Approval Rules

China’s new SRRC Modular Approval Rules was released on March 6, 2014. 

China MIIT released a latest Notice for the new “SRRC Modular Approvals scheme” on March 6, 2014. The official link can be found here:

It is somewhat similar to the FCC Modular approval scheme in such that there is also two types of approval: the Full Modular Approvals and the Limited Modular Approval. However there are differences too. One major difference is that for the China Modular approval the host device is limited to ITE devices and household appliances only. Another difference is the China’s Full modular criteria requires integrated antenna.
