CQC issues a New Standard GB 19212.5-2011 for Isolation Transformers
The Safety Certification Rules for Isolation Transformers for General Use (GB19212.5-2011) Safety of transformers, reactors, power supply units and similar products for supply voltages up to 1100V, Part 5 Particular requirements and tests for isolation transformers and power supply units incorporating safety isolation transformers has been promulgated on June 16th, 2011 and will take effect on May. 1st,2012, to instead of GB19212.5-2006. The details as the following:
1.This standard changing covers the transformer products certified by GB19212.5-2006 and got CQC voluntary certificate.
2. The certification implementing and certificates issuing will be followed by the new standard since the notice released.
3. For clients who hold old version certificates should submit the changing application since the notice released, and take differential test, then the new version certificates will be issued if the product meets new standards. Certificate changing should be completed before May. 1st, 2013. The certificates will be suspended if the change is overdue, and CQC will withdraw the certificates for those can not complete certificates changing before Aug. 1st, 2013.
